Ideal for large or more complex earth systems, including communications earth systems and challenging test environments, this earth testing kit tests in accordance with BS 7430 (earthing/grounding), BS-EN-62305 (lightning protection), BS-EN-50122-1 (railway applications), and IEEE Standard 81.
Features
High accuracy earth ground measurements
This instrument provides accurate 1 mΩ resolution measurements of earth (ground) electrode resistance along with a microprocessor-controlled system that provides a flexible and "user-friendly" approach to earth tests by providing excellent error detection capabilities and full test information shown on a large color display. Test frequency, test voltage and filtering can be quickly and easily adjusted so that adverse conditions, which can influence the test, can be overcome. A wide band of test frequencies, with a resolution of 0.5 Hz, can be used to eliminate errors caused by noise in the earth. It also includes an automatic frequency selection feature that scans for frequencies with the lowest noise level and then runs a test at that frequency.
Trace display and data storage
Utilizing the latest processors, it can provide a live trace of its measurements, which graphically shows the amount of noise from the system under test, combined with a large internal memory which allows for immediate calculations of resistivity (Wenner or Schlumberger method) and the ability to save a complete day's worth of test results. Test result data can be downloaded directly through a USB flash drive or straight to a Windows PC running PowerDB™ software.
Weatherproof and rugged
The tester is sealed to IP54 standard, which provides weatherproofing during operation (case lid open). When the case lid is closed its protection standard is to IP65 (water and dust damage). The case is made of a tough and light copolymer polypropylene, which can withstand the rough and tumble of outdoor use.
Portable power
An internal Li-ion battery provides for a full day of tests. The Li-ion battery has a fast recharge facility that allows a flat battery to provide an afternoon of tests, if charged during a lunch break. It can also operate from a standard 12 V DC battery supply.

All returns must be authorized. Items returned prior to authorization will not be accepted. For international customers where applicable, customers must ship any returns to us freight and duty prepaid. Return freight charges for internationsl shippments will be the responsibility of the customer.
Defective new equipment may be returned for warrantyrepair/exchange to us within (5) days of the shipment receipt date. After five (5) days, returns will be handled by direct contact and in accordance with the warranty terms of the item's manufacturer. Items that have malfunctioned due to mishandling, electrical overload, etc., will be subject to repair charge.
Non defective new equipment will be authorized for return within five (5) days of the shipment receipt date if the equipment is still in new, re-sellable condition with the original manual(s), accessories, packing material and carton. We reserve the right to reject returnsin which there is no original packaging, missing accessories, damage or visible signs of usage of the item. A restocking fee of up to 25% of purchase price may apply. Special orders and dangerous goods are non-returnable.

We can ship to both US and Canada. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.
When you place an order, we will charge a flat rate shipping for your items.
Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
