Wagner Meters 890-00950-001 OffersThe Wagner Meters Orion 950 is an all-in-one moisture meter for professionals in the wood industry desiring superior accuracy and multi-tool functionality. In addition, to dual depth and data collection, the Orion 950 wood moisture meter can measure and record relative humidity, temperature, dew point, equilibrium moisture content, grains per pound, and grains per kilogram. The Wagner Orion 950 also has Bluetooth connectivity to the Wagner FloorSmart App on any smart device. The Orion 950 dual-depth pinless wood moisture meter takes accurate moisture readings for two different depths in wood or other materials.
In the shallow mode, the Orion 950 will read the moisture content from the surface level down to 1/4"; in the deep depth mode, the meter uses IntelliSense Technology to disregard the surface moisture and read deeper moisture content down to 3/4". The Orion 950 moisture meter also comes with an individually paired On-Demand Calibrator to easily calibrate your meter anytime and anyplace, giving you confidence that the moisture content readings are accurate. The Wagner Orion 950 moisture meter data collection and storage capabilities are important for quality control and home or property restoration applications.
The Orion 950 smart moisture meter with built-in temperature and RH sensor will take ambient temperature and relative humidity measurements in any room. Utilizing the built-in temperature and humidity sensor, the Orion 950 will also calculate and display the current dew point. Knowing the RH measurement of the ambient air is important when working with wood as wood is hygroscopic and will expand or shrink until it reaches equilibrium with the humidity in the air. Wood need time to settle once installed because all wood must adapt to its end-use environment. Equilibrium Moisture Content (EMC) occurs when the moisture content inside the wood reaches a balance with the relative humidity and temperature on the wood's surrounding environment.
The Orion 950 will calculate if a wood specimen is at the critical threshold where it has reached its equilibrium with the environment and will no longer gain or lose moisture. The (EMC) will tell you when your wood floor or wood project is ready for installation or fabrication. Grains per pound/kilogram is a more precise measurement to know the exact weight of water vapor in the surrounding air. The Orion 950 moisture meter will calculate and instantly display the grains per pound/kilogram, also known as the specific humidity of the air, compared to the relative humidity. If you operate a wood kiln, this is the kind of thing you're going to want to know and control. Moving warm air is great, but if the air is too humid the wood isn't going to dry. The Wagner Orion 950 pinless moisture meter has manual and automatic data collection with onboard storage and recall capabilities. When the data collection mode is activated, you will have the ability to store and review up to 100 readings and get the maximum, minimum, and average analysis of all stored readings. Moisture readings can vary, so this information can be valuable for quality control applications where a wide variety of data points are needed for reference.
The Wagner Orion 950 dual moisture meter features superior accuracy, versatility, and ruggedness for moisture measurement both on the surface and deep into the wood. In the shallow depth mode, the moisture meter is perfect for reading moisture content in thin samples such as wood flooring or to check the dryness of waterborne coats before applying the next coat of finish. The proper moisture content of wood is essential to building inspectors and those in the flooring and wood industry to produce the highest quality finished product. Wood that is too dry or has excess moisture can cause serious problems such as splitting, cracking, swelling, or warping. In the deep scan mode, the Wagner 950 moisture meter identifies the moisture content of different species of woods as well as plywood, engineered wood, and MDF to avoid these problems from occurring.
A truly unique feature of the Wagner 950 moisture meter is the true-in-field calibration. Every meter comes with an individually paired On-Demand Calibrator allowing you to easily calibrate your meter back to factory standards anytime, ensuring that you will have accurate moisture measurements. A NIST-traceable version, with a certification of calibration, can also be purchased. Non-damaging electromagnetic wave technology is used by the Orion 950 pinless meter to measure the moisture content of wood and other materials. The actual sensing plate on the back is 2.0 by 2.5 to provide a relatively large pad to quickly scan a large area of wood in less time, giving you a far better representation of the true moisture content of your wood. Using the up and down arrows on the Orion moisture meter, it is easy to adjust for different wood species. The range of settings accommodates practically any softwood or hardwood species in the world. The Wagner 950 pinless meter can also be configured to measure some non-solid products such as plywood, OSB, and MDF. The meter also has a species setting for many bamboo flooring products.
The Wagner Orion 950 wood moisture meter is essentially unaffected by the temperature of the wood or the environment. The 950 moisture meter sensing technology does not need correction or adjustment to account for the wood's temperature. The 950 moisture meter features a relative moisture measurement mode for taking relative moisture conditions in non-wood building material and engineered wood flooring. In this mode, your meter will be using a relative measurement scale (0-100) for measuring non-wood-based materials. The ON/HOLD button allows you to freeze the moisture measurement reading, helpful in those hard-to-see areas. Also, the moisture meter includes a user-programmed, audible alarm to alert you to high moisture content levels. The protective rubber boot makes it easy to hold while helping to avoid damage if dropped. The Orion 950 is Bluetooth enabled to connect to both the FloorSmart and Woodshop MC free mobile apps on your Android or Apple smart device. These apps allow you to receive and record data, set specifications for separate jobs as well as wood material, and much more.

Flat-rate shipping is calculated to reflect the cost of reliable, insured delivery. The rate shown at checkout is final — no hidden surcharges will be added after your order is placed.
For certain items, shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of the product. The weight of any weight-based item is listed on its product detail page.

You should expect to receive your refund within four (4) weeks of delivering your return package to the shipper. In many cases, refunds are processed sooner. The timeline breaks down as follows:
We will process refunds no later than 14 days from the day we receive the returned Goods, using the same payment method as your original purchase.
If the Goods were marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, a gift credit equal to the return value (less any applicable processing fee) will be issued. Once the returned product is received and inspected, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the Goods were not marked as a gift at purchase, or if the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves first, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.

Defective new equipment may be returned for warrantyrepair/exchange to us within (5) days of the shipment receipt date. After five (5) days, returns will be handled by direct contact and in accordance with the warranty terms of the item's manufacturer. Items that have malfunctioned due to mishandling, electrical overload, etc., will be subject to repair charge.
Non defective new equipment will be authorized for return within five (5) days of the shipment receipt date if the equipment is still in new, re-sellable condition with the original manual(s), accessories, packing material and carton. We reserve the right to reject returnsin which there is no original packaging, missing accessories, damage or visible signs of usage of the item. A restocking fee of up to 25% of purchase price may apply. Special orders and dangerous goods are non-returnable.
