The Mastercool 55600-A uses an advanced TFT screen to provide clear and easy readings using color graphics that show leakage, sensitivity, battery level, and sensor fault indicators. Overview: The Mastercool infrared leak detector detects the refrigerant by scanning the area in a slow target scan mode by moving the sensor back and forth until the alarm sounds. The IR refrigerant leak detector has visual and audible alarm modes that will indicate the leak simultaneously and increase in frequency in proportion to the leak intensity. The Mastercool 55600-A IR sensor zeroes out when held over a leak. This unit provides the same trigger conditions for all refrigerants, providing an advantage over other technologies that work better for some refrigerants than others. A technician can select high, medium, and low sensitivity levels with a maximum sensitivity of up to 0.14 oz/year. The auto-off function will automatically shut down the leak detector after 10 minutes. The Mastercool 55600-A IR refrigerant leak detector includes a charging cable, replacement filters, and a zippered carry case.
